The Proclamation on the Steeple

We here at ZD are excited to bring you this exclusive leak, directly from the highest levels of the Church Administration Building, of a possible response by the Church to opposition by local residents to the proposed height of the steeple for the McKinney, Texas Temple.

  1. Hinckley and Monson will now have some company under the bus, namely any prophets who approved steeple-free temples. (Actually, those prophets may have self-identified as “Mormons”, so they would be under the bus already. Never mind)

  2. Hilarious! Doing a proclamation last time legally benefitted the Church, so why not do it again?! Hahaha.

  3. In Downtown Abbey, the Dowager Countess (played by Maggie Smith), quipped after tipping over in a Thomas Jefferson swivel chair, “Why does every day involve a fight with an American?”

    We could easily change it to “Why does every day involve a fight with an Evangelical?”
