I've thought along these lines as a parent when one of my children misbehaves. Do I focus on their negative behavior or how they could be better? The former focuses on punishment (make her pay for her crimes!), whereas the later focuses on discipline (as in, helping her become a <em>disciple</em>). I hope it's clear that I find far more value in discipline than in punishment. Great sentiments! I’ve thought along these lines as a parent when one of my children misbehaves.
